Argh

Argh. AAAAAHHHHHhhhhh... I hate being sick. This is my third day out of school. Monday was bad. Very very bad. I was throwing up about every hour and I didn't eat all day. And if you know me, not eating all day was the worst part of the whole thing. I just felt terrible, throwing up coughing muscles aching, just bad. Oh well. Tuesday was a little better (not as much throwing up) and i managed to eat a little food (half a bagel and some rice lol). Now today I've reached a very interesting state of almost good but still feeling kinda crappy. Hope I'll be at school tomorow. All I know is being sick sucks.

Solar Voyager

I wanted to share a website with everyone. The talent and artwork is amazing and beautiful. Go to the site and check out the wallpapers and the wall packs. They are awesome. Not a lot of people appreciate digital artwork simply for the fact they rarely get to see it by itself. So check the link out, you wont regret it. (and youll get some sweet computer backgrounds)

The Horror of Our World

Why is there so much anger and frustration thrown at anything that has a darker theme? Many people think that a song or movie that focuses on death is evil. I think this is entirely incorrect. I believe that this music (while not only just being good art) can also teach us a lot about the other sides of life. This song is called "The Horror of Our Love" its discusses the dark side of love. The potentially consuming destructive side. This song definatly has dark themes but I think it is a great song and listening to it and songs like it can help us understand and empathize with people who go through dark situations. Keep in mind theres a difference between songs that have dark themes and songs that lift up darkness. The latter is where things get dangerous. But darkness is everywhere. It's the world we live in. A place where there are over 800,000 suicide attempts in the U.S. each year, and 60% of high school seniors use drugs to escape their lives. It's the world we're in and we need to understand it. (I would love to hear your oppinion on this post and the song so please leave a comment.)

Lake Pontchartrain

This song is a wonderful song. It tells the story of three young men who are going on vacation and then some of them get eaten by the lake. ({oh and thats not my picture Yay google})

Thoughts on People, Part I

I can't stand it. I can't stand seeing someone in pain and not being able to do anything. There is nothing more frustrating. In this world where I see people tearing down and destroying the lives of another person for mere entertainment. It's sick. So many people just wish they could escape their lives and try to hide behind anything they can. Sex. Drugs. Parties. Lies. Some people just try to pretend none of their problems exist, try to keep on a happy face and not let anyone know whats going on. Ignoring the problems doesn't make them go away. Everyone has a way to deal with problems, but for consistent problems it's near impossible to deal with by yourself. I find myself often not asking people what's wrong even when it's written all over their face because I'm afraid of invading their privacy. I'm quickly coming to the point where I feel I'm being a chicken. Shouldn't I at least try? Even as simply as just saying something nice to them would be acceptable, anyway to let them know I care. I try, but I don't know what the line is. I often want to help people I don't even know. I have no problem with being forward with my good friends, but how about people I just kind of know. I just wish I knew how to help. Who knows. Sorry for my kindof non-focused post, but I'm sure I will have focused post about these topics soon. (My thoughts aren't very organized so my post aren't either. By the way the girl in the picture is Sydney, the picture was taken after a long day of shopping. She's awesome.)

Halloween

Well I figured I should give you a brief overview of my Halloween activities. It began with going to the Haunted Castle (uber lame)with Lindsey, and a few other of my Jr. friends who I'm to lazy to take the time to name them all. which was a dissapointment to say the least. It wasn't scary and it was really short. So we decided to go to the Black Forest next. That was awesome. For the most part we had kindof a mini group involving only me, Lindsey, Liz, and Margeret. It was really really funny. I laughed a lot but I can't say why otherwise somebody might hurt me. (So just ask me next time you see me). So that whole thing was fun. Then I went with some of the guys from the band and Jake to Ally's Halloween party. Also funny. Lots of ridiculouse people. This was then followed by a few hours of Brawl (dont worry for those of you who dont know what that is a Brawl Post is coming soon.) then watching the wonderful movie "Dead Man On Campus". You should see that. It's funny. Just ask my mom.

Reinventing Your Exit

So I was looking around on youtube and I found this song again. It's old but amazing. Just a great peice of music.

The slow tendrils of burning pain twisted their way up my leg. I reached down and wiped off the crystalline drops of blood that were slowly rolling down. The tightened taught muscles in my arm protested movement but I forced them to go. My breath was surprisingly shallow, short and strong through a dry and tattered throat. Each vertebrae in my spine snapped and groaned as they shifted. Pain is surprisingly detailed. The pain of exposed nerves as my pant leg scraped past made an interesting contrast to the mainly overbearing sore nature of my body. Sharp and dull. Intense and light. Pain and uncomfort. The contrast of the signals my brain was receiving created a stunning canvas. Various types of pain from a plethora of places. How fascinating.

Primer

A little while ago I was wandering around Blockbuster trying to find a movie and I found something called PRIMER. I was amazed. I would tell you about it, but i dont want to spoil it since you need to see it. It's a movie that requires a great amount of thought and focus while watching. Now why most people find the movie somewhat confusing, once you figure it all out it is truly fascinating. So yeah, you should go to Blockbuster and rent it. Now. (So I went to Blockbuster to rent it and its no longer there, so just buy it online.)

The creature inside me.

Sometimes I fear myself. I find myself often fascinated with many things with a much darker theme. I have a very analytical mind. I like to think things through analyze and figure them out. This includes many darker subjects such as fear, disasters and death. I've spent a lot of time thinking about whether it is right or not. The bible states to think about whatever is good, noble, and such things. Does that mean it's wrong? I can't say I have a definite answer to that question. Is it part of my innately evil nature coming out, or is it simply me trying to grasp a further understanding of the entire world. Just some thoughts to put out there. (By the way the pic is something I did a little while ago, just seemed to kinda fit the post and I did promise more pictures.)

DarkBASIC Pro

Well yesterday I got something wonderfull. DarkBASIC Pro. This is a programming compiler that will allow me to now write my own computer programs. One of the things I have been wanting to do for a long time is to write a space combat game. So I have already started on this project and I'm sure I will continue to write post about it because it's going to be tight. It's going to take me a while to fully understand this language because I am just starting but I feel it will be really fun and also challenging. So if any of you have any ideas for my space combat game let me know. (names, title, story, whatever) So yeah it's awsome.

Why this blog lacks pictures and why it will soon get more.

So, I love photography. I love taking pictures and finding perfect places and scenes to capture. It's a great art medium. My current camera is a fairly old and large cannon digital camera. Unfortunately it mainly stays in my room. It's bulky and I often tell myself it just gets in the way. This just goes to show how incredibly lazy my mind can be. So from now on I am going to attempt to take many many more photos and occasionally just go out with some friends and take pictures. So I apologize and just be prepaired to be flooded with very large collections of colored pixels. Awsome.

Fall Mini Camp

Wow I'm running a little behind here time to get cought up. Well last weekend Me and the band (The Final Exit) got the chance to play for fall mini camp. What is fall mini camp? you may ask. Well it is a two day camp for 3-5th graders (yes all the little ones) and it was pretty much awesome. We got to start out with an acoustic set on Friday night which was a lot of fun, me with my dejembe rocking out and singing praise songs with lots of really tired/hyper little kids. I say tired/hyper because there was no in between when it came to energy level. It was very entertaining. That night we stayed at Brens (Brenden Kline-Lead Guitar) and played some brawl and watched whatever horror movies happened to be on. The next day we played to more sets and rocked out and it was pretty amazing. After we were done we had a pile of paper and quiet a few pillows that we had to autograph (dude little kids are awesome). All in all an emotionally satisfying way.

Alesana-Video

I found this video on purevolume the other day and thought I'd share it. I will give out a screaming warning for those who aren't the biggest fans of such musical styling.

Why Geeks Like Video Games and Movies

I find that I notice and impressed by many things other people don't even notice. Especially in video games and movies. I see things and I'm impresed with how clever something is coded and how effecient it is, with a movie I figure out how they do the visual effects and unique shots and I often find myself admiring theyre work and putting it to memory for future use. Now why this may make me a little strange it provides a very interesting movie, or video game experience that goes beyond just watching or playing. I don't know i just find things like that fascinating. (This Picture is from a game called "Tom Clancy's End War" wich is going to be awsome. You should check it out if your into that stuff)

Facebook

Facebook is the bane of my life. It takes what i completely intend to be a 30 second check up and turns it into an hour and a half of wasted time. Curse you facebook for taking my time. I should be sleeping, but instead I'm on you talking to friends. hmmmm. I think ill force myself to get off now. I imagine this will be one of many facebook rants.

Work

Well I have started working at Meijer. Yippie (yes that was dripping with sarcasm) I am a cart pusher. YAY!!!! (yep more sarcasm) The main part of my job goes like this... Step 1. Go outside collect carts. Step 2. Push and force the carts back into the building. Step 3. Put the carts where they belong. Repeat. Thats pretty much what I do all day long, mindless, repetitive physical labor. But I am quickly becoming a master at cart manuvering so thats good. I guess.

Life Goal #36

In case any of you were wondering, gaining the ability and skill to play this song all the way through is one of my life goals.

Greetings.

Hey guys, I must admit I've tried like 10 times to start a blog, but I always felt it needed to have some depth or purpose, something that this blog will most likely lack at times. I'll probly get deep every once in a while but for the most part expect the randomness of my life. To start out I might have a few post today, to start out here is a wonderfull band on PureVolume called the jakes, listen to their song called Paid the Piper, It's fairly amazing. http://www.purevolume.com/thejakes. Oh one last thing, those of you who are curious about the name of my blog, my name is Brandon and people just call me "B" and this is the first one I thought of that wasn't taken.
Peace.
